Who We Are
Our men’s support group welcomes men aged 18 and over from Stockport and the wider community. Our members come from all walks of life — some join us for company and a change of scenery, while others are experiencing loneliness, isolation, or working through personal challenges, recovery, or difficult circumstances.
Everyone is welcome, and everyone is met with understanding and respect.
We are a low‑level, community‑led support group run entirely by volunteers. Although our volunteers are not professionals, many bring a wide breadth of lived experience, empathy, and insight. We encourage all volunteers to take part in any training opportunities available, and most do, helping us maintain a supportive, informed, and compassionate environment.
Thanks to funding and generous donations, we are able to offer enrichment trips and educational outings that help members build friendships, strengthen social connections, and bridge the gap between loneliness and community. During our weekly meetings, we aim to provide meaningful activities and a light meal — including healthy options — whenever possible.
We also welcome outside agencies and interest groups to deliver talks, presentations, and workshops that benefit our members.
To everyone taking the time to visit and read our website, we extend our sincere thanks. Please help us spread the word about our group and the positive impact it has on men in our community. If you know someone who may benefit from joining us, we warmly encourage you to share our details.
Many thanks.
